美國呼吸照護學會選舉2011年重要幹部

美國呼吸照護學會(AARC)從10月4日至11月4日開始選舉2011年學會重要幹部,包括負責內政和外交的副理事長, 特別委員會主席, 財務秘書及各專科委員會主席.每一位候選人都會被問到3個問題, (一)In your opinion, what should the top priority be for the AARC and why? How can this priority be best addressed?在妳/你的觀點，美國呼吸照護學會最優先要做的是什麼? 為什麼?此一優先事項如何被最佳描述? (二)What have you done over the last two years to promote the respiratory care profession on a local and/or national level?過去兩年妳/你在地方或國家層次在呼吸治療專業做了那些貢獻? (三)The development and mentoring of future leaders at the state and national level is essential to the future of the AARC. 10月24日至30日為美國呼吸照護週(RC Week)

10月24日至30日為美國呼吸照護週(RC Week), 今年的主題是“Inspire—It’s What Respiratory Therapists Do!.” 在此週的活動中, 美國呼吸照護學會(AARC)希望會員能鼓舞和激發同事, 朋友,家庭和社區參予呼吸照護週的活動, 除了讓大眾知道呼吸治療師在做什麼, 也推廣呼吸功能相關知識,讓民眾更健康.目前台灣有中國醫藥大學呼吸治療學系, 配合12月21日呼吸治療師節,辦理系週活動, 類似美國呼吸照護週(RC Week).

10月14日為世界肺功能日(World Spirometry Day)

2010年10月14日被設定為第一屆世界肺功能日(World Spirometry Day),是由 the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS)所籌畫. FIRS 包括拉丁美洲胸腔學會(Asociacion Latinoamericana del Thorax, ALAT), 美國胸腔醫師學院(the American College of Chest Physicians, ACCP), 美國胸腔學會(the American Thoracic Society, ATS),亞太呼吸學會(the Asia Pacific Society of Respirology, APSR), 歐洲呼吸學會(the European Respiratory Society, ERS), 全球對抗肺結核及肺病組織(the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, The Union), 和泛非洲胸腔學會(the Pan African Thoracic Society,PATS).
